About The Position

The primary purpose of this position is to complete the execution of all civil construction activities on assigned projects, ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, on time, and in accordance with contract specifications and company policies. This role requires strong leadership, field oversight, coordination with subcontractors and project teams, and the ability to manage resources and resolve issues in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 15+ years of civil construction experience
  • At least 5 years in a supervisory or superintendent role
  • A degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field is preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of civil construction methods, materials, and equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project documents
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Understanding of project scheduling and resource allocation
  • Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and site safety best practices
  • Basic computer skills (email, Excel, and construction management software)
  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and solve problems independently

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all construction work is performed in compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards
  • Coordinate daily activities of field crews, subcontractors, and vendors to meet project schedules
  • Monitor and report on project progress, productivity, and compliance with specifications
  • Read and interpret civil construction drawings, plans, and specifications
  • Verify that materials and work performed comply with the contract documents
  • Track and manage equipment, manpower, and material needs
  • Assist in developing look-ahead schedules and daily work plans
  • Provide leadership and clear direction to field personnel
  • Collaborate with project engineers, foremen, quality control, and safety personnel
  • Identify and resolve field conflicts or constructability issues with minimal disruption
  • Maintain accurate site records, including daily reports, timesheets, and logs
  • Enforce company policies and procedures, including safety requirements
  • Maintain confidentiality by not disclosing any confidential, proprietary, or trade secret information
  • Responsible for personal safety and the safety of co-workers
  • Authorized to stop work on any task whenever an unsafe condition is observed
  • Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies
  • Report all violations of applicable laws, regulations, or company policies promptly
