The Peoria, IL office of Dewberry is seeking a Structural Engineering Intern for Summer 2026. This position performs assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities, requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related engineering tasks. Requirements
- Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering is required (focus in Structural Engineering preferred)
- Applicants should have exposure to related Civil/Structural engineering design, strong leadership and communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines.
- Proficiency in REVIT and AutoCAD good working knowledge of MS Word and Excel required.
Responsibilities
- The candidate will work on a wide variety of projects including schools, health care centers, higher education facilities, office buildings, industrial buildings, commercial buildings, structural evaluations, civil/site structures, and water/wastewater treatment facilities.
- Assist with preparation of civil/structural engineering calculations, reports, construction drawings and specifications to meet project requirements.
