About The Position

As a Civil/Structural Engineering intern, you will support civil/structural design activities which include calculation creation in the area of structural steel or concrete design. You will report to the Structural Steel Senior Manager and be located at our Cranberry location. This is a paid, full-time onsite summer position.

Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in civil/structural engineering.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Completed Sophomore year of college.
• US Citizen or Permanent Resident.

Responsibilities

• Develop engineering sketches and markups using AutoCAD or similar CAD programs.
• Help address technical issues related to the fabrication, assembly, and construction phases of a civil/structural project.
• Provide technical justification of design changes and troubleshoot emergent technical issues.
• Gain familiarity with analytical tools such as GT STRUDL and ANSYS.
• Become familiar with applicable industry civil/structural codes and standards (such as ACI, AISC, AWS) and company policies and procedures.
