About The Position

The position involves performing assignments related to the design of civil/structural equipment, components, structures, or systems. Requirements

• Recent graduate from a vocational trade school.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience for Level I or equivalent education.
• High school education or equivalent with additional drafting courses.
• Field experience and ability to climb tall structures.
• Ability to solve work-related problems proactively.
• Competence in design codes, specifications, and standards.

Responsibilities

• Utilize AutoCAD 3D software for design tasks.
• Employ AutoDesk Advanced Steel software for structural design.
• Develop CADD drawings from design sketches or catalog information under moderate supervision.
• Perform basic engineering/design calculations and size civil/structural components.
• Communicate design processes within the civil/structural discipline and coordinate with other disciplines.
• Select, design, and write specifications and general notes for civil/structural work with some supervision.
• Demonstrate safety consciousness in daily activities.
• Prepare engineering and construction drawings from sketches or verbal instructions.
• Perform fundamental engineering support tasks such as updating lists, filing prints, and making calculations.
• Prepare neat and accurate field notes and sketches.
• Instill Quality Assurance in all work products.
• Utilize site visits to verify civil/structural aspects of projects.
