About The Position

ProSidian Seeks a Civil Structural Engineer - Engineering (Time and Materials | Exempt) to support an engagement for a liquid waste contractor (Savannah River Remediation [SRR]) at the Savannah River Site in Aiken, SC, which is owned by the U.S. Department of Energy. This service supports Environmental Management Sector Clients and ProSidian Team Members (# FTe's: 1) work as part of a Engagement Team Cadre (Labor Category DS107 | Prof) to fulfil T&M - Time and Materials (T&M) requirements. The Civil Structural Engineer DS 107 as a Professional Grade position. Provide Civil Structural DA Engineer Support Services to the U.S. Department of Energy | Savannah River Site (SRS) in Aiken, SC 29808. this professional works as part of a Staff Augm Civil Structural Engineer - Engineering Candidates shall work to support requirements for Technical General Support Services (GSSC) related to NAICS: 541690 - Environmental Consulting Services, NAICS: 541690 - Scientific and Technical Consulting Services - Energy, and NAICS: 591690 - Professional Scientific Technical Consulting Services and Provide design and construction oversight of structural engineering tasks on assigned SRR Engineering Teams. Structural engineering tasks include: analysis of structural systems for both static and dynamic loads using manual computation and computer programs; design of concrete structures; design of steel, aluminum, stainless steel, timber and composite structures; foundation and anchorage design; structural analysis for impact, overpressure, and other accident conditions; preparation of CSI specifications; and review of vendor documents. Engineering services will be provided using SRR processes and procedures. Requirements

The Civil Structural Engineer - Engineering shall have consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five (5) years
Must be able to use a computer to communicate via email; and proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and related tools and technology required for the position.
Work products shall be thorough, accurate, appropriately documented, and comply with established criteria.
All employees, in the performance of their respective responsibilities, shall conduct themselves in the highest possible standards of ethical and business conduct.
The candidate shall ensure that duties are performed in a competent and professional manner that meets milestones/delivery schedules as outlined.
requisite work experience and technical skills to fulfill the roles and responsibilities of the Civil Structural Engineers working and performing tasks in the Energy Industry (Oil and Gas / Power and Utilities / Nuclear Energy)
BS Degree in Civil Engineering or current registration as a Professional Engineer in either Civil or Structural Engineering.
Candidate must demonstrate five (5) years’ experience in design and analysis of nuclear or industrial facilities.
Candidate must demonstrate working knowledge of STAAD.
Candidate must demonstrate working knowledge of National Codes and Standards such as IBC, AISC (ASD and LRFD), ACI, AWS, NFPA, and OSHA.
Candidate must have the ability to walk down systems in the field.
U.S. Citizenship Required - You must be a United States Citizen
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, & Adobe)
All ProSidian staff must be determined eligible for a “Facility Access Authorization” (also referred to as an “Employment Authorization”) by the USG’s designated Security Office.
May be required to complete a Financial Disclosure Statement
Must be able to submit to and qualify for varying levels of background investigative requirements, up to a Top Secret or DOE "Q" clearance.

Candidate demonstrating experience in 2D MicroStation Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD) is preferred.
