About The Position

Civil/Structural/Architectural Designers are responsible for performing civil, structural and architectural design under the direct supervision of senior designers and engineers. Develop a good understanding and implementation of PDI CAD standards. Develop PDI CAD standards under direction of senior designers. Progressive Design, Inc. We serve Fortune 500 companies in industries such as chemical, tobacco, power, films, fibers, plastics, paper, pharmaceuticals, metals, food and beverage, and discrete manufacturing.

Requirements

  • Basic understanding of AutoCAD 2D and 3D Design.
  • Possess a basic understanding of civil and structural material specifications and construction techniques.
  • Travel to site to assist in field work in industrial environments.
  • Continue learning process by attending in-house seminars and continuing education opportunities outside of office.
  • Develop working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Possess ability to follow directions from lead designers.
  • Strong ethics and corporate loyalty.
  • Must be results oriented and a team player.
  • Associates degree completed or in process strongly desired or completed CAD certificate program

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in an industrial chemical processing environment is a plus.
