About The Position

In the role of a Civil (Solid Waste) Intern, we'll count on you to gain real-world experience on exciting projects by applying standard engineering techniques and procedures to solid waste facilities and environmental projects such as landfills, recycling facilities, remediation sites, and waste transfer stations. You will work under the guidance and direct supervision of a senior-level Engineer to assist in groundwater sampling programs including coordination with laboratories, data analysis, and reporting on behalf of private and public clients for regulatory agency compliance. Additionally, you will perform other duties as needed such as performing overall site layouts, grading plans, utility layout, cost estimating, and drainage reviews. You will also perform administrative duties to support project managers and our clients. This position may require occasional travel.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program.
• Attention to detail.
• Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills.
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture.

Nice To Haves

• Prefer 2+ years completed toward degree with 3.0+ GPA.
• Prior experience with field work and environmental regulations.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation.
• Preference given to local candidates.
