CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Civil Site Engineer I to join our Land Development Team in Albany, NY, where you will support site planning, design, and permitting efforts for a wide variety of development projects. Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering required
- No experience required; however prior internships and/or relevant coursework are preferred
- Strong theoretical foundation and familiarity with engineering software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication skills and a desire to work in a collaborative team
Nice To Haves
- Participation in professional engineering society/organization preferred
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification a plus
Responsibilities
- Assist in site planning and civil design tasks for land development projects, including grading, drainage, stormwater management, and utility layouts
- Support senior engineers in preparing site plans, construction drawings, technical reports, and permit applications for land development projects
- Perform calculations and design tasks using industry standards, regulatory guidelines, and best practices
- Join field assignments with senior staff to gain hands-on experience in observing existing conditions, construction activities, and site constraints of land development projects
