About The Position

The City of Cleveland Heights is announcing the examination for the position of Fire Inspector in the Division of Fire. This position holds the equivalent rank of Lieutenant. Written examinations will be administered on June 6th, 2025, at City Hall. The examination will consist of 100 true/false, modified true/false, and multiple-choice questions. Candidates will also undergo an interview process after a list has been established. Eligible applicants must have served for at least 84 months with the Cleveland Heights Fire Department and must be State certified as a Fire Safety Inspector within one year of promotion.

Requirements

• Minimum passing grade on the written examination is 70%.
