The Office for Civil Rights and Equity is seeking student assistant peer educators to help the Prevention and Education team in developing, implementing, and assessing education and outreach programs for students in a diverse university setting. Under the direction of the Prevention and Education Coordinator, Peer Educator student assistants will work to increase student engagement with departmental education and prevention efforts. Duties will center around event support, administrative work, and assisting with workshops. Peer Educators will be able to develop skills such as leadership, communication, event planning, presentational speaking, and social media management. While discretion and respect for privacy are necessary qualities and individuals in this position may need to talk about topics like sexual misconduct in training, this position will not be part of any response to reports or complaints.
