About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Civil Project Manager with a strong background in site-work, underground utilities, and DOT infrastructure projects. This role is ideal for a results-driven professional who has successfully managed heavy civil construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of mass grading, storm drainage, water and sewer utilities, roadway construction, and public infrastructure standards, along with proven leadership in managing budgets, schedules, and field teams.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Civil Project Manager in heavy civil construction
- Proven experience managing underground utility and site-work projects
- Experience delivering DOT or public infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge of mass grading, earthwork, and drainage systems
- Proficiency in project management software (Procore, HCSS, Primavera P6, or similar)
- Experience managing multi-million-dollar civil projects
- Strong understanding of cost control and contract administration
- Ability to interpret civil plans, specifications, and geotechnical reports
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred
Responsibilities
- Manage full lifecycle delivery of site development and infrastructure projects
- Oversee underground utility installation (water, sewer, storm drain, force main)
- Lead execution of DOT roadway and public works projects
- Develop and manage project budgets, cost controls, and forecasting
- Maintain and update project schedules (CPM scheduling preferred)
- Coordinate with Superintendents, Engineers, Inspectors, and Municipal Agencies
- Review and negotiate subcontracts and vendor agreements
- Manage change orders, RFIs, submittals, and pay applications
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and DOT regulations
- Drive safety performance aligned with OSHA standards
- Lead client meetings and maintain strong stakeholder relationships
