About The Position
Timmons Group is seeking a Civil Project Manager/Senior Civil Project Manager to join our Transportation Design Group located in our Charlottesville, VA office. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management of assigned projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of our clients. This role requires the development of strong client relationships and the ability to effectively communicate with clients and internal teams. The Project Manager will also be involved in marketing and business development efforts, ensuring the technical quality of projects, and maintaining profitability. In this position, the Project Manager will oversee project staff coordination, client communications, and the negotiation of scopes and fees. They will also be responsible for billing and assisting in the collection of fees when necessary. Maintaining superior relationships with clients is crucial, and the Project Manager will be expected to cross-sell Timmons Group services that may extend beyond their direct expertise. Ongoing communication with the Office Manager and Transportation Group Leader is essential for project success. The ideal candidate will have the ability to manage several mid-sized projects, multiple small projects, or a single larger project simultaneously. This requires strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. The Project Manager will play a key role in ensuring that all projects meet the high standards expected by Timmons Group and our clients.
