About the position

We are seeking a Civil Project Engineer with over 6 years of experience to join our client's Charlotte, NC office. This role involves working on a variety of civil and site projects, utilizing the latest industry technology. The position is hybrid, requiring 3 days in the office and 2 days remote, and focuses on delivering high-quality engineering solutions for residential, commercial, municipal, and institutional clients.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and create full sets of construction documents, including specifications.
  • Develop cost estimates for projects.
  • Coordinate with a multi-disciplinary team to execute projects effectively.
  • Provide construction administrative services throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in site development.
  • Experience in Site, Highway, Drainage, and Utility Design.
  • Water/wastewater experience is a plus.
  • Experience in conducting board and client meetings for small- to moderate-sized projects is preferred.
  • Familiarity with land use and municipal approvals.
  • Experience in preparation of Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3-D.
  • Strong communication and technical writing skills.
  • Experience in preparing project submissions and related documents/forms.
  • PE (Professional Engineer) license preferred.
