Requirements
- A bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field
- Ideal candidates would have between two and six years of experience in Transportation / Traffic Engineering and Planning, but new graduates will be considered
- Synchro/SIDRA/HCS proficiency is essential
- Experience working with DOT and/or localities
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of Traffic Analyses, Planning Studies, Traffic Safety, Traffic Forecasting, Traffic Signal Design, ITS Design, and/or Traffic Signal Timing is preferred
- Bicycle/pedestrian/multi-modal project experience preferred
- Basic CAD and/or GIS knowledge preferred
- PE/EIT preferred
Responsibilities
- Complete operational analysis, corridor studies, traffic studies, innovative intersection implementation, traffic calming, and safety analysis
- Bicycle/pedestrian/multi-modal feasibility, analysis, design, and implementation
- Complete calculations using engineering formulas and skills and/or utilizes computers in order to solve problems
- Perform research and writes objective summary reports which are used in the completion of the project work
- Assist in the preparation of engineering planning schedules and cost estimates
- Complete field observation, inspection, and data collection duties
- Communicate with client staff and internal design team
- Communicate results/recommendations to the general public
