About The Position

Civil Policy Intern The Opportunity: Booz Allen brings bold thinking to support missions that are critical to the Federal Government. Our clients need advisors who understand their work and provide strategic support to achieve mission success. That's why we need you, a Civil Policy Intern who can learn how to analyze every aspect of your client’s operations and give them actionable, evidence-based guidance that leads to measurable impact. Civil Policy Interns contribute to meaningful work that enables the Federal Government to provide services to the American people, supporting work with Civil Sector clients in missions ranging from life sciences and public health, climate, energy, transportation, and more. You will work closely with Booz Allen teams to support government clients in implementing, monitoring, and evaluating government programs, logically frame and analyze client challenges, and apply evidence-based reasoning to recommend impactful solutions. You will leverage quantitative and qualitative skills in policy analysis, data analytics, process improvement, and project management to help tackle some of the Federal Government’s most complex problems. In our intensive internship program, you will support Federal programs and policy through real-world client, marketing, and research projects across Booz Allen's Civil Sector. You will participate in intern cohort events and support Civilian Agencies and health teams, along with working on a variety of projects across the company. The internship is expected to run for 8-12 weeks between June and August 2026. Join us. The world can't wait.

Requirements

  • Experience collaborating across cross-functional teams
  • Experience analyzing policy problems for federal government agencies
  • Experience with qualitative and quantitative analysis, including environmental scans, literature reviews, statistical analyses, risk assessments, or policy research
  • Experience in policy analysis, program evaluation, or compliance and regulation
  • Experience in project management, change management, process improvement, or client management
  • Experience using Microsoft Office programs , including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • Scheduled to obtain a Master's degree by Summer 2027

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with data analysis tools, such as Excel, R, Python, SAS, Power BI, Tableau, or AWS
  • Experience with utilizing artificial intelligence to address program and policy problems
  • Experience with federal government processes, such as requests for information, requests for proposals, comment analysis, and rulemaking
  • Experience with Agile methodologies, such as PROSCI, SAFe, or ICAgile
  • Possession of excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Possession of strong qualitative and quantitative skills
  • Agile Certifications
