Tetra Tech is seeking an intern at the sophomore level or above who is pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in engineering or a similar field, with a focus on landfill construction oversight. This internship is set to begin in May or June 2025 and will primarily involve work based in and around project sites located in Eastern Minnesota. The intern will be responsible for a variety of field and office support roles under the guidance of more experienced personnel, including Senior Technicians, Field Managers, Engineers, or Project Managers. The role requires performing tasks with input and guidance from these experienced team members, working under supervision, and primarily interacting with internal project teams. Responsibilities will include assisting with planning and preparation for various work assignments, maintaining field and test equipment, documenting data systematically, and conducting field monitoring and analyses according to established protocols. The intern will also engage in fieldwork, which may involve collecting samples and data, operating field and construction equipment, and working at landfills or hazardous waste sites where health hazards may be present. Additionally, the intern will be responsible for ordering job-specific supplies, maintaining a field activities log, recording field measurements, completing sample documentation, and assisting with technical research and construction services as needed. Safe work practices must be implemented during all field assignments.
