About The Position

HG USA is hiring a Civil Manager in C hesapeake , VA . The Civil Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing civil, structural, and foundation works during the construction phase of the industrial manufacturing facility.The role ensures compliance with approved design documents, project schedule, construction methodologies, quality standards, and safety requirements.This position requires close coordination with the Engineer of Record (EOR), geotechnical consultants, contractors, and the client to ensure successful execution of site development, foundation systems, and structural works. SCOPE OF MANAGEMENT Manage site civil works including grading, earthworks, drainage systems, underground utilities, and external infrastructure. Oversee foundation systems including shallow foundations, deep foundations (piles/rigid inclusions if applicable), slab-on-grade, and equipment foundations. Support structural works including reinforced concrete, structural steel, and load-bearing systems. Monitor construction progress and coordinate interfaces between civil, structural, and MEP works. Assist in managing civil and structural design changes during construction. Contribute to resolving technical, quality, and safety issues related to civil and structural works. Prepare periodic and non-periodic progress and technical reports.

Requirements

Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering (ABET accredited preferred)
57 years of experience in industrial or large-scale construction projects
Experience in foundation systems and structural construction required
Knowledge of ACI, AISC, IBC, and OSHA standards
Understanding of geotechnical investigation and foundation implementation
Experience with Primavera P6 or MS Project
Strong coordination and communication skills
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple interfaces in fast-paced construction environment
