About The Position

Litigation Paralegal Klie Law Offices, PLLC We are seeking an individual with high standards, positive energy, and a desire to deliver exceptional service to clients to join our firm as a paralegal. At Klie Law, we operate as a team, so this individual must be willing to welcome a variety of tasks and assignments and to be adaptable to change as we continue to grow our firm. Paralegals will be responsible for the coordination of all the details before, during, and after the trial. The successful candidate will be able to provide assistance during all phases of the litigation process, including conducting interviews, legal research, document filing, and attending trials. This position includes the opportunity to work remotely for the right candidate; however, must be within 3 hours of WV, as the position does require travel for meetings 4-5 times per year or when required. Requirements

  • Attention to detail and accuracy to produce error-free, quality documentation
  • 2-3 years paralegal experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
  • Working knowledge of practice management software and tracking billable time per case
  • Problem-solving

Responsibilities

  • Organization and management of pre-litigation and litigation cases (such as personal injury, employment law, and family law)
  • Handling of incoming and outgoing mailings
  • Maintenance of electronic case files; document and maintain case details
  • Communicating with clients to gather information and obtain evidence
  • Assisting attorneys with drafting, proofreading, filing, and service of correspondence, pleadings, and discovery
  • Obtaining and analyzing evidence (such as medical records, medical bills, employment files, etc.), including the creation of spreadsheets and chronologies
  • Assisting with trial preparation, including the assembly of trial binders and witness testimony coordination
  • Conduct research and organize information relevant to cases
  • Organizing and managing digital case files
  • Drafting motions, petitions, discovery, and legal correspondence
  • Conducting legal research to support case strategy
  • Reviewing evidence and identifying inconsistencies
