About The Position

Tetra Tech is seeking Civil & Environmental Engineering Interns to support our Water/Wastewater group. As part of our team, you'll gain hands-on experience working on a wide range of municipal projects - from collection and conveyance systems to pump stations, storage, treatment facilities, and rehabilitation efforts. Position Summary: The Civil & Environmental Engineering Intern will assist in the design, permitting, and construction support of municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects. This position provides an opportunity to apply academic knowledge to real-world engineering challenges while contributing to sustainable public infrastructure solutions.

Requirements

Third- or fourth-year student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering discipline.
Familiarity with relevant codes and industry standards.
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Interest in sustainable design and public infrastructure solutions.

Nice To Haves

Coursework or prior internship experience in water, wastewater, or environmental engineering
familiarity with GIS, hydraulic modeling, or construction inspection
demonstrated teamwork and initiative.

Responsibilities

Assist in the design and permitting of municipal water/wastewater projects.
Perform conceptual and detailed design calculations and analyses.
Contribute to the preparation of engineering reports and supporting documentation.
Assist with construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
Collaborate and interface with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Plan, coordinate, and execute tasks in a safe, timely, cost-effective, and compliant manner.
