About The Position
CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Civil/Environmental Engineer to join our Water/Wastewater Team in Charlotte, NC where you’ll play a vital role in assessing, rehabilitating, and modernizing critical sewer systems to prevent backups, flooding, and pollution. Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering required
- No experience required; however prior internships and/or relevant coursework are preferred
- Strong theoretical foundation and familiarity with engineering software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication skills and a desire to work in a collaborative team
Nice To Haves
- Participation in professional engineering society/organization preferred
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification a plus
Responsibilities
- Assist in the design, development, and implementation of technical solutions for sewer system rehabilitation projects
- Support senior engineers in preparing technical reports, contract documents, and cost estimates
- Perform calculations and design tasks using industry standards, regulatory guidelines, and best practices for sewer system optimization
- Join field assignments with senior staff to gain hands-on experience in assessment, planning, and rehabilitation of sewer and stormwater systems
