With 1,400 miles of sewers and 49 pumping plants, 11 wastewater treatment plants, 2 landfills, 2 energy recovery facilities, and 2 materials recovery/transfer facilities, your work will protect public health, safeguard the environment, and shape a sustainable future. In this role, you will perform engineering work supporting wastewater and/or solid waste management programs. The Districts does most engineering work in-house, and we are looking to fill positions in design, energy recovery, stormwater management, operations, water and air quality, planning, construction, and source control. As an Engineer, you have the opportunity to be involved in every phase of our work, from project conception to operation. Since most engineering work is performed in-house, you have the opportunity to see your projects through from start to finish. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong technical writing and communication abilities, analytical thinking, and effective project management skills. Initial salary placement will be determined based on your qualifications and experience. This is a career path opportunity with clear progression (Engineering Associate II -> Engineering Associate III -> Civil Engineer level/PE), allowing you to advance after reaching experience and performance milestones.
