This drafting position is in our Civil Infrastructure Group where the focus is on water and wastewater, roadway, drainage improvements, transit, and mobility projects.
MWM is based out of Austin and only does work in Central Texas. No travel is required for this role.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of AutoCAD Civil 3D experience in a professional office.
• Substantial experience and proficiency with producing utility plan and profile drawings using Civil3D Pipe Network tools is required.
• Interest in working on Infrastructure projects.
• Experience using the COA UCM, DCM, and/or TCM as design standards.
• Experience with the COA review process is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat/Bluebeam Revu.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Positive attitude, self-motivation, and eagerness to learn.

Nice To Haves

• Autodesk Civil 3D Certification.

Responsibilities

• Utilize Civil 3D to draft detailed civil construction drawings including utilities, grading, drainage, and roadway plans.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, surveyors and other disciplines on projects.
• Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Read and interpret construction plans and drawings.
• Set up and manage sheet sets and data shortcuts in Civil3D.
• Set up and design roadway improvements using corridor and grading surfaces.
• Set up and design C3D base files using GIS and external data
• Ability to produce engineering plans based on verbal and written instruction, redlines, and conceptual sketches.
