About The Position

STV is actively seeking a Civil/Roadway Engineering Specialist to join our growing Transportation Group in Chattanooga, Tennessee . This role offers the opportunity to support a wide range of roadway, highway, and transit projects, working alongside experienced engineers and project managers on impactful infrastructure initiatives across Tennessee and the Southeast. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
• Experience using MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment

Nice To Haves

• Experience with TDOT roadway or transportation projects
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) / FE certification or ability to obtain
• Knowledge of roadway and infrastructure design and construction processes

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of roadway and transportation construction drawings, plans, and specifications in accordance with applicable standards and agency requirements
• Support roadway design tasks including geometry, alignments, profiles, cross-sections, and drainage elements
• Contribute to technical reports, presentations, and client deliverables, ensuring clarity and accuracy of project information
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project managers to ensure designs meet project scope, schedule, and quality objectives
• Apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and design criteria to assigned tasks
• Support quality control reviews and ensure compliance with accepted engineering practices and applicable codes
