Civil Engineering Project Manager

About the position

Vierbicher is a team of professional engineers, planners, community development specialists, land surveyors and GIS specialists who provide comprehensive solutions for a wide range of projects. Our goal is to provide clients with creative consulting services and quality products, enabling them to efficiently and effectively meet their goals. We work to build strong relationships with our clients that promote trust, cooperation and teamwork. We are currently seeking skilled Project Managers to join our talented team to oversee and manage multiple projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successful project delivery, strong leadership abilities, and exceptional communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage civil engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Collaborate with clients, engineers, and stakeholders to define project objectives and requirements.
• Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets; monitor progress and adjust as necessary.
• Conduct regular project meetings to review status, resolve issues, and ensure stakeholder alignment.
• Manage project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Mentor and guide junior staff and project team members.
• Prepare and present project proposals, reports, and updates to clients and management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field is required.
• 7+ years of experience in project management within the civil engineering sector is preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies and best practices.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and engineering design tools.
