This Civil Engineering Operation Manager is responsible and accountable for the proper supervision, administration, execution, and oversight of the CE, Production Control/CEMAS, Infrastructure/FMS, Facilities Systems, and Heavy Repair/Grounds functional areas. Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Engineering in Fields Related to Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical.
  • Ten (10) years documented experience in working in a management position in Base Civil Engineering Operations Flight; Government Review of Credentials is Required Prior to Filling Position.
  • Six years in a management role leading a large multi-specialized workforce in the execution of facility/infrastructure operations, maintenance and repair work/systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, structural, mechanical, etc.).
  • Proven experience leading, managing and directing a large multi-specialized workforce (electricians, plumbers, HVAC, equipment operators, laborers, etc.
  • Proven management skills needed to manage resources, schedules and costs.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government National Agency Check (NAC) clearance and/or security clearance if required.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record pertinent to this position.
  • Ability to successfully pass any background checks and/or drug testing required on the contract.
  • U.S. Citizenship.

Responsibilities

  • Works in conjunction with department and shop managers to develop, implement, and manage programs and plans.
  • Assesses effectiveness of the preventive maintenance/recurring work program and identifies avenues for improvement. Provides information and support to the Base Civil Engineer and Government-designated CE representatives.
  • Serves as the alternate form the Project Manager in his absence.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
