About The Position

Baxter & Woodman has a rewarding opportunity for a paid engineering internship in our Green Cove Springs or St. Augustine, FL office. This on-the-job experience will support the firm's water resource group with the design and construction of a variety of facilities and offer the opportunity to work directly with our firm clients. A variety of responsibilities and duties will provide a well-rounded background in engineering.

Requirements

  • Ongoing pursuit of a 4-year degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • Maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.0/4.0
  • Available to start May 2026.
  • Ability to travel throughout Palm Beach County and Broward County areas (own transportation).
  • Ability to work in a team environment on a variety of projects.
  • Strong verbal,puter,anizational, and writing skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting senior engineers with the evaluation, study and design of stormwater systems.
  • Work on a variety of projects including municipal and county, toplete roadway, stormwater, underground utility, and infrastructure improvements.
  • Field work, studies and design of stormwater retrofit systems in response to future sea level rise.
  • Hydrologic and hydraulic modelingputation and analysis.
  • Work independently on a variety of tasks including CAD, Drainage Design, Quantity Computation, Water Distribution and Wastewater Collection Systems Design, and Data Collection
