About The Position

The Special Projects Division of KPFF is seeking a motivated Junior or Senior level Civil Engineering student for a summer internship in their Seattle office. This internship offers hands-on experience in civil engineering, focusing on project design and management for various infrastructure projects across the United States, particularly in the West Coast and Pacific Northwest regions. Interns will work closely with experienced engineers, contributing to innovative solutions for complex challenges in civil, structural, and industrial engineering.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering (Junior or Senior level).
• Ability to work collaboratively with project team members and clients.
• Detail-oriented with a desire for continued learning.
• Clear communication and writing skills.
• General understanding of stormwater hydrology and hydraulics basics.
• General understanding of AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

Responsibilities

• Assist a civil engineer with various tasks associated with project design, including calculations, plan production and review, and cost estimating.
• Assist with project site visits, ensuring compliance with all company and site safety requirements.
• Navigate through job sites as required.
