About The Position
Kimley-Horn is seeking enthusiastic Engineering students to join our Eden Prairie, Minnesota office. This is an exciting opportunity for students who are eager to gain hands-on experience in the engineering field. As an intern, you will be immersed in a dynamic work environment where you will utilize technical software programs regularly to analyze, produce, and ensure quality control of deliverables for our clients. You will play a vital role in the pre-construction civil engineering design process, which includes planning, modification, permitting, and analysis for various projects that vary in size and scope. In this position, you will be challenged to solve complex problems and assist project managers while collaborating across different disciplines to bring our clients' visions for the future built environment to life. You will also develop a strong understanding of federal, state, and local regulations, as well as familiarize yourself with Kimley-Horn's and our clients' practices, procedures, and standards. Interns will have the opportunity to learn and work with one or more software programs specific to their disciplines, including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro, and/or GIS. This internship is designed to provide you with practical experience and knowledge that will be invaluable as you pursue your engineering career.
