About The Position

Kimley-Horn is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to join their Eden Prairie, Minnesota office. This internship is designed for engineering students who are pursuing an ABET accredited degree in various engineering disciplines. The role involves utilizing technical software to support civil engineering projects and collaborating with project managers to deliver client visions.

Requirements

• In the process of receiving an ABET accredited engineering degree (Bachelors or Masters) in Civil and/or Environmental Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, Biological, Biosystems, Chemical, or Agricultural Engineering, or Engineering Technology.

Responsibilities

• Utilize technical software programs on a regular basis to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for clients.
• Contribute to the pre-construction civil engineering design, planning, modification, permitting, and analysis for multiple projects.
• Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines.
• Develop familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn's and clients' practices, procedures, and standards.
• Learn one or more software programs specific to disciplines such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro, and/or GIS.
