Argonne National Laboratory is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern for the Facilities Engineering Department. This position is intended for a college student in the process of obtaining a Civil Engineering degree. The candidate is expected to work on-site, Monday through Friday. The intern will assist the Civil Engineer with various tasks, including: Field investigations and construction site visits for various sitework projects Obtaining updated traffic counts for Laboratory roadways Cleanup of site related GIS data Exhibit preparation using CAD or GIS software Sitewide surveys, documentation, and data entry of Laboratory infrastructure Qualifications The candidate must be enrolled in a degree program for Civil Engineering. Education and Experience Requirements Applicants must be: Currently enrolled in undergraduate studies at an accredited institution; or Graduated from an accredited undergraduate institution within the past 3 months. Must be 18 years or older at the time the appointment begins. Must possess a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Must be a U.S. citizen or Legal Permanent Resident at the time of application. If you accept an offer, you must pass a screening drug test. The entire appointment must be conducted within the United States.
