About The Position
Parsons is now hiring for a Civil Engineering Intern to join our DC office and work as a part of our amazing Transportation Group in our 2026 Internship Program!
Requirements
- Civil Engineering students nearing completion of undergraduate studies, or students currently enrolled in graduate studies are encouraged to apply.
- Students should have completed courses such as structural analysis, steel and concrete design, geotechnical engineering, etc.
- Applicants should include transcripts, a brief cover letter outlining your main areas of interest within civil engineering, and what skills and experiences you hope to gain through summer employment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Compile data and perform design and quantity calculations required for the preparation of drawings.
- Become familiar with various standards and codes including AASHTO.
- Apply codes to check compliance of designs with applicable criteria.
- Use MicroStation to prepare engineering plans, sections and details starting from sketches and other general design information.
- Travel to constructions sites.
