Role description: Arcadis is currently searching for a Civil Engineering Intern or Technical Intern to join our team in Syracuse, NY. Are you ready to join our Syracuse team? We're a group of twelve environmental and civil engineers with a wide range of experience, from rookies to seasoned professionals. Role accountabilities: This is a great opportunity for exposure to a wide variety of civil design and environmental engineering projects within the consulting environment, with a focus on civil engineering projects. This position requires a broad educational background with an emphasis on science and engineering principals and fundamentals.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a BS in Civil, Environmental, or related engineering discipline.
  • Microsoft Office skills are also required

Responsibilities

  • Successful intern can expect to get involved in civil engineering design projects associated with remediation, land development, and restoration for a variety of industrial-private, public sector, and agency-based clients
  • May work on multiple, unique assignments simultaneously and candidates should possess strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Office work may include task coordination, data compilation and interpretation, quality assurance/quality control reviews, cost estimates, report writing, regulatory file review, proposal support, project strategy development, scheduling and cost estimate preparation
  • The ideal candidate is highly organized and detail-oriented and will have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
