We're looking for a Civil Engineering Intern to join our Engineering Design Organization this summer! You'll support engineers and project managers on projects involving water distribution, sewer systems, pumping stations, roadways, and stormwater infrastructure. Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Civil Engineering Bachelor's or Master's degree program
• Very limited work based experience (0 to 3 months)
• No managerial experience

Responsibilities

• Researching codes and design options
• Documenting findings
• Assisting with CADD drawings
• Contributing to the analysis and retrofit of new and existing facilities
• Developing own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching
• Using the knowledge management system to access specific information
• Providing technical support to inspections of the quality of engineering works and/or the integrity of existing installations or structures
• Carrying out a range of activities under the guidance of more senior colleagues to support the drafting of engineering standards and specifications
• Implementing improvements and carrying out simple change management tasks
• Implementing feasibility testing of proposed engineering solutions, under supervision
• Carrying out a range of product development and engineering activities, such as analyzing client situations or interpreting data
• Carrying out a range of contract management tasks
• Supporting others by carrying out a range of project management activities
