About The Position

We are currently seeking a Water Resources Engineering Intern to join the RS&H Infrastructure Practice in Jacksonville, Florida. The Water Resources Engineering Intern will collaborate with and mentored by top Engineering associates on our team. The position will assist on both design and plan preparation for stormwater management and drainage design projects. This is an amazing opportunity to gain hands-on experience and a better understanding of the Transportation and Water Resources Engineering industries.

Requirements

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an ABET accredited university
• A working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as an intermediate level of technical writing and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
• Ability to work on multiple assignments simultaneously
• Works well in a team environment
• 2.5 GPA or above

Nice To Haves

• Prior internship or related experience
• AutoCAD and / or Microstation experience
• Hydrologic/hydraulic modeling experience
• Experience with or exposure to plans preparation and design standards
• Specific interest in Water Resources engineering

Responsibilities

• Assist with stormwater management, drainage design, hydrologic, hydraulic and water quality modeling and environmental permitting.
• Prepare plans, designs, specifications, and cost estimates
• Gather and provide data for the preparation of engineering reports and studies
• Perform and review design calculations
