About The Position

Parsons is seeking a Civil or Mechanical Engineer Intern for the Summer of 2025. This internship offers an opportunity to work under the guidance of a degreed engineer, performing a variety of engineering support assignments that require a fundamental understanding of design and drafting standards. The role is designed to help interns develop practical knowledge of engineering equipment, facilities, and systems, while contributing to real-world projects.

Requirements

• Must be enrolled in an Engineering curriculum at an accredited college or university.
• Must have completed at least one year of studies in a major Engineering discipline (e.g., Civil, Electrical, Mechanical).
• PC literacy and a working knowledge of CAD are required.
• Familiarity with other computer software used for design assignments is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes a CAD workstation to prepare engineering drawings from rough sketches and general engineering information according to established standards.
• Ensures compliance with codes and company policies by utilizing technical manuals and directives.
• Compiles data and performs dimensional and routine calculations for the preparation of drawings.
• Performs other responsibilities associated with the position as appropriate.
