About The Position
NV5 (NASDAQ: NVEE) is a provider of professional and technical engineering and consulting solutions to public and private sector clients in the infrastructure, energy, construction, program management and environmental markets. NV5 is an ENR Top 500 firm; we offer a full range of professional services. We are seeking Civil Engineering Interns who will work on structures design projects at our office in New York City. NV5’s NYC Office operates on a four-day work week. The internship will be a paid internship.
Requirements
- Undergraduate or graduate student enrolled in a Civil or Structural Engineering Program from an accredited college
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Detailed oriented, excellent writing skills, critical thinking
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of CAD (a plus)
- Knowledge of Civil3D (a plus)
- Knowledge of Microstation (a plus)
Responsibilities
- Perform basic structural engineering calculations
- Utilize various CAD software to prepare sketches and drawings
- Assist Structural Engineers with broader engineering activities
- Review Shop Drawings, Cost Estimates and Specifications
- Field work for data gathering, surveys and construction observations
