About The Position

Michael Baker International is seeking Summer 2026 Civil Engineering Interns to support our Midvale (Salt Lake City), UT office. In this internship, you will primarily be responsible for civil design and analysis of civil engineering and infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, and drainage projects. You will leverage your engineering knowledge and skills to prepare basic studies, construction documents, drawing, maps, reports and supporting documentation and calculations. This opportunity is open to all applicants seeking an internship within Civil Engineering, Bridge/Structures, Roadway, and Drainage.

Requirements

  • 0 - 2 + years of progressive roadway/highway design with previous internship experience.
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree.
  • Ability to build relationships with a wide variety of people, multitask and prioritize competing project obligations.
  • Strong English language skills, written and verbal are essential to long term success in this role.
  • Proficient with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice To Haves

  • Traffic engineering experience is a plus.
