Paid Civil Engineering College Internship, District 4 - 2026 Summer Construction Program Work locations: You would be assigned to a project/projects in either Ashtabula, Mahoning, Portage, Stark, Summit or Trumbull County Are you looking for a hands-on experience with seasoned Professional Engineers? To be eligible, you must be in good academic standing, pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering and be able to provide proof of Enrollment Documentation including your GPA. As an ODOT College Intern you may have the following opportunity: Upon graduation, interns are eligible to apply to be an ODOT employee through the Transportation Civil Engineering (TCE) Program. This program gives a new engineer the on-the-job experience, continued education through training and seminars offered at ODOT and the ability to work with Professional Engineers leading towards the requirements necessary in obtaining their P.E. certification. Requirements
- Must currently be enrolled in a college or university, pursuing a Civil Engineering degree and in good academic standing with a minimum of a 2.00 GPA.
- Must show proof of valid driver's license in order to operate state vehicle.
- The final candidate for the position will be required to undergo a criminal background check. Criminal convictions do not necessarily preclude an applicant from consideration for a position. An assessment of an applicant's prior criminal convictions will be made before excluding an applicant from consideration.
