About The Position

Kimley-Horn is seeking Engineering graduates for the Civil Engineering Analyst position in Southfield, Michigan, starting in 2025. This role focuses on utilizing technical software for civil engineering design and analysis, contributing to various projects, and developing familiarity with relevant regulations and standards. Analysts will gain hands-on experience and mentorship opportunities while working towards licensure in their field.

Requirements

  • An ABET accredited engineering degree (Bachelors or Masters) by Summer 2025 in Civil and/or Environmental Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, Biological, Biosystems, Chemical, or Agricultural Engineering, or Engineering Technology.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize technical software programs to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for clients.
  • Contribute to pre-construction civil engineering design, planning, modification, permitting, and analysis for multiple projects.
  • Solve complex problems and assist project managers in producing clients' visions for the built environment.
  • Develop familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn's and clients' practices, procedures, and standards.
  • Learn software programs specific to disciplines such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro, and/or GIS.
