About The Position

Kimley-Horn's Lubbock, Texas (TX) office is seeking Engineering graduates with at least 1 year of experience to join their Water/Wastewater team. This is an onsite position. As a critical member of the team, the analyst will perform a variety of engineering tasks and will receive both on-the-job and formal training, as well as mentorship and exposure to plan production, project financials, and client interactions.

Requirements

• 1+ years experience with a civil engineering design firm
• Bachelors or Masters from an ABET accredited university in the field of Civil Engineering
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
• Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines
• Detail-oriented with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment
• Ability to work independently and as a team

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design of water transmission and distribution systems, pumping stations, conveyance systems, water treatment systems, water/wastewater distribution planning, master planning, and treatment plant rehabilitation and expansions
• Work on a variety of municipal water and wastewater utilities designs
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to contribute to the successful completion of assigned projects
• Maintain a high degree of quality in sets of plans and check the work of others
