About The Position
The Clay County Highway Department is now accepting applications to be considered for 3 open positions as a Civil Engineering Aide. This is a seasonal position. The tentative dates of employment will be from May to September. Date Posted: 2/17/2026 Application Deadline : Open until filled Starting Salary Range: $:22.14 per hour. Full Salary Range: $22.14-$29.35 per hour Hours: Monday- Friday – Day shift – Some weekends depending on departmental needs. Status: Non-Exempt
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Valid Class D driver’s license
- Ability to successfully complete a background investigation
- Clay County Application must be submitted for all County positions.
- All these materials need to be returned by the application deadline.
- If you are an eligible military veteran and wish to claim Veteran’s Preference, you must present a legible photocopy of your DD214 form to the Office of Human Resources.
- All veterans who are certified will be considered for appointment.
