Requirements

  • BS in Civil Engineering
  • 0-5 years of experience with experience in highway, stormwater/drainage, and traffic design.
  • Experience with Civil 3D and MicroStation Inroad design is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CTDOT Highway Design Manual, Drainage Manual, DEDP Water Quality Manual is a plus.
  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with attention to details.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • EIT or PE preferred but not required.
  • Commitment to undergo training for engineering certification as needed and further learning.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare technical documentation and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on infrastructure projects.
  • Support project execution from design through delivery.
  • Prepare reports, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Develop detailed designs and drawings for roads, drainage systems, grading, traffic, utilities, and site development using AutoCAD Civil 3D/MicroStation or similar software.
  • Perform site inspections, feasibility studies, and technical assessments.
  • Prepare permit applications and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Conduct quality control reviews of engineering documents.
  • Familiar with all company policies and procedures and verifies implementation and compliance.
