The Civil Engineer will complete complex engineering projects across multiple disciplines, working closely with Clients to provide engineering solutions in all aspects involving both residential and commercial land and site development projects, grading projects, roadways, pedestrian systems, water and sanitary sewer systems, and storm water management. This role requires a strong understanding of civil engineering principles and the ability to apply them in practical settings. The Civil Engineer will manage small to mid-size projects, ensuring that client and contractor agreements and budgets are adhered to while delivering high-quality engineering solutions. In this position, the Civil Engineer will be responsible for writing and preparing technical engineering reports, plans, and specifications for various projects. They will consult with clients to plan and develop strategies for their civil engineering design and support needs, analyzing reports, maps, drawings, and tests to effectively plan and design projects. Evaluating designs to determine project feasibility, estimating quantities and costs of materials, equipment, and labor requirements will also be key responsibilities. The Civil Engineer will assist with construction inspection of project sites to monitor progress and ensure that design specifications are met, while also engaging in engineering design for site-civil infrastructure elements. Mentoring other engineers and designers will be an important aspect of this role, as the use of independent judgment is expected throughout the project lifecycle.
