Civil 3D (Design Modeling): Building dynamic Plan & Profile sheets, surfaces, and pressure networks for force mains and trench-less crossings. As-Built & Redline Processing: Proven ability to "pick up" field redlines from contractors and accurately incorporate them into the master AutoCAD files. Field-to-Office Troubleshooting: Ability to analyze contractor suggestions for site specific issues and update the design to resolve conflicts (e.g., rerouting a line due to an unmapped utility or adjusting a bore pit due to a tight ROW). Constructability Validation: Reviewing design markups to ensure proposed offsets, clearances, and construction sequences are physically possible for the crew on-site. Trench-less Design: Knowledge of Jack & Bore and HDD layouts, including bore pit positioning and equipment staging limits. Traffic & Safety: Drafting Traffic Control Plans (TCP) that meet MUTCD or DOT standards, specifically for lane closures and detours. Permit Management: Preparing and revising submittal packages for Right-of-Way (ROW) and municipal agencies, including addressing reviewer comments. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field. Experience & Skills: Solid understanding of civil/site processes. Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Civil/Site design software, and construction documentation. Ability to interpret engineering plans, construction drawings, and technical specifications.
