About The Position

Morris & Ritchie Associates, Inc. (MRA) is currently seeking a Civil Designer with 0 to 5 years of experience for our Land group in Laurel, Maryland. Established 45 years ago, Morris & Ritchie Associates, Inc.’s (MRA’s) architects, structural and civil/site engineers, land planners, landscape architects, and surveyors provide planning, design, and construction administration phase services for a wide range of projects throughout the mid-Atlantic and Carolinas. MRA’s projects include: office buildings, commercial and retail centers, business and industrial parks, residential communities, institutional facilities, and recreational facilities, as well as infrastructure design and improvement projects.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required. E.I.T. preferred
AutoCAD & Civil 3D proficiency required
Ability to work independently as well as in a group
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
Excellent Verbal and Written Communication
Local candidates preferred.

Nice To Haves

Experience in Private Land Development preferred but not required

Responsibilities

Design of land development projects in the Prince George's, Anne Arundel , Montgomery and Howard Counties of Maryland.
Utilize AutoCAD and Civil 3D to develop design concepts and plans in the following areas: site layout, water, sewer mains, roads, soil erosion and sedimentation control plans, floodplain studies and grading plans
Provide assistance to other team members and management in order to accomplish department goals and objectives
