About The Position

A nationally recognized AEC firm is seeking an Entry-Level Site / Civil Engineer to join its Land Development group. This role is designed for a recent graduate or early-career engineer who wants hands-on exposure to real projects, strong mentorship, and a clear technical growth path. You’ll work closely with experienced engineers and interdisciplinary teams, supporting site and civil engineering efforts from early analysis through permitting, documentation, and construction support.

Requirements

  • BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program required
  • 0–3 years of internship or full-time civil engineering experience preferred
  • Exposure to site civil or land development projects required
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and technical curiosity
  • Clear written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Interest in integrated project delivery and long-term professional growth

Nice To Haves

  • MS in Civil Engineering preferred
  • FE / EIT completion or progress toward licensure preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop site and civil designs using Autodesk Civil 3D
  • Support civil and site engineering analysis for: Site layouts and grading, Utilities, Stormwater management and green infrastructure, Earthwork, erosion control, and drainage systems
  • Assist with due diligence and site analysis tasks, including: Engineer’s opinions of probable cost, Utility, detention/retention, and stormwater calculations, Earthwork analysis and reporting
  • Assist with preparation of permit applications for applicable agencies
  • Attend project meetings as needed, including occasional evening meetings
  • Assist in preparing design documentation, drawings, and Civil 3D models under senior engineer guidance
  • Research materials, products, municipal and zoning codes, and sustainable site practices to support project decisions
  • Collaborate with architecture, sustainability, construction, and consultant partners within integrated project teams
  • Perform site visits to document existing conditions, field measurements, and observations
  • Support production of final permit, bid, and construction drawings
  • Assist with construction-phase services, including submittal reviews and site observations
  • Participate in internal training, industry events, and cross-discipline learning
  • Adapt to changing project needs and contribute where needed to support team and project success
