About The Position

AECOM Technical Services, Inc. is seeking a Civil Engineer in Raleigh, NC. Job details: Serve as a deputy project manager for transportation and civil engineering projects Responsible for right-of-way design revisions and quantity estimates for interstate improvement design projects Develop safe work plans and status reports Participate in project and program management opportunities, including the management of civil engineering on-call contracts and maintaining prequalification for civil engineering work codes for NCDOT Participate in roadway design and structural engineering design work for transportation civil engineering projects Work on detailed and routine engineering assignments involving calculations and tests Perform technical quality reviews including documentation in project record in accordance with policies and procedures Identify incremental improvements to existing procedures or processes that increase efficiency or work quality Analyze and apply solutions to atypical and challenging issues Telecommuting permitted up to 3 days per week

Requirements

  • Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field of study and 5 years experience in job offered or as Project Manager, Contracts Manager, or a related occupation.
  • Alternatively, Employer will accept a Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field of study and 2 years of experience in job offered or as Project Manager, Contracts Manager, or a related occupation.
  • Gained experience in the following: Microsoft Project; Oracle; process improvement and SOP standardization for civil engineering projects; project management; and management of subconsultants and invoicing.

  • Serve as a deputy project manager for transportation and civil engineering projects
