About The Position

AECOM is seeking a Civil Engineer to be based in Seattle, Washington. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: Undertaking design activities on maritime projects - container terminals, mining/bulk, oil/gas, marinas, ports and harbors, coastal DOD facilities, coastal defense, and development schemes Civil design for terminals across the United States Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings Independently prepare engineering related calculations and develop civil technical specifications, plans, and details Uses computer software as a tool for solving engineering problems Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule Provides guidance to entry level engineers Independently performs all the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works

Requirements

  • BA/BS + 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Professional Engineer Registration with the ability to attain a Washington State Professional Engineer Registration within 6 months
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for this position

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree plus 5 years of related experience
  • Experience with computer aided design (AutoCAD)
  • Experience with ArcGIS
  • Preferred experience with Ports and Marine
  • Experience in the design of marine terminals, naval facilities, and port facilities
  • Enthusiastic, hard-working, technically proficient, with ambition and drive

Responsibilities
