About The Position

Midwest multi-disciplined engineering firm is looking to add a Civil Engineer to their Orlando team! Responsibilities: Manage civil/water resources study and design projects Assist with business development in Florida Develop hydrologic/hydraulic models of stormwater systems Prepare drainage studies and stormwater masterplans Analyze/design municipal neighborhood improvements including stormwater facilities (open channels, culverts, storm sewers, detention basins, etc.) Develop hydrologic/hydraulic models of stormwater systems Prepare drainage studies and stormwater masterplans Address resiliency, LID, Sea Level Rise, and climate change impacts in design Prepare plans and specifications for construction Perform quality control of stormwater models, reports, and/or design Responsible for permitting with local, state, and federal permitting agencies Prepare competitive proposals and participate in client interviews Represent firm at municipal and developer meetings

Requirements

  • B.S. degree in Civil Engineering, with emphasis in water resources engineering preferred
  • 5+ years of civil project design experience
  • Florida P.E. License required (or the ability to obtain through reciprocity)
  • Knowledge of basic principles of infrastructure design and plan preparation
  • Expertise in hydrology and hydraulics
  • Experience in consulting engineering, public works, or construction
  • Expertise with H&H modeling (Stormwise/ICPR preferred)
  • Experience with AutoCAD (Civil 3D is preferred) and ArcGIS preferred
  • Successful applicants must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship.
