AECOM's Water Business Line is seeking a talented Civil Engineer to support water, wastewater treatment, flood protection, and associated projects in our Chelmsford, MA office.   • Perform assignments requiring the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to carry out engineering tasks associated with the technical design and layout of civil/site systems for water and wastewater treatment facilities.
  • Exercise engineering judgment for the development of existing conditions basemaps; reviewing subsurface utility information for coordination with existing and new facilities.
  • Prepare exhibits, sketches, and other documents utilized for planning, permitting, and presentations.
  • Prepare layout and design site development features, access roads, drainage channels, slope stabilization, retaining walls, detention ponds, and surface drainage.
  • Prepare layouts and design of yard piping, force mains, gravity sewers, water mains, and storm sewers.
  • Prepare design drawings, plans, sections, details, and profiles/sections within the Autodesk Civil 3D, AutoCAD MEP, and Revit.
  • Work under the mentorship and supervision of a senior engineer.
  • Willingness and ability to occasionally travel to sites throughout North America.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or other related field.
  • Must have a valid U.S driver's license and as a condition of employment, must be able to pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records review.
  • Prior related intern and/or professional experience.
  • Successful Passing of the Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.
  • Capable of using spreadsheet, word processing, and standard office software.
  • Basic knowledge of industry-standard computer software for the position such as AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and commercially available engineering analysis packages.
  • Detail-oriented while still able to understand/comply with the big picture/goals of a project.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Strong logic and writing skills.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
